Dhaka:Local Government, Rural Development, and Co-operatives Minister Dr. Abdul Moyeen Khan on Tuesday called on the youth of Bangladesh to prepare themselves for the significant responsibility of nation-building.
According to United News of Bangladesh, Dr. Moyeen Khan emphasized that the current generation of young people must engage in a battle not of arms, but of constructing a developed Bangladesh. He highlighted that ensuring a prosperous future for the nation's large population is a paramount duty for the youth.
The minister made these remarks as the chief guest at the "Graduation Ceremony-2026" of the Bangladesh Youth Leadership Center (BYLC), held at the Krishibid Institution Bangladesh auditorium in the capital.
Dr. Moyeen Khan praised the BYLC's training and leadership development programs, stating they equip young individuals to confront future challenges. He described the training as essential preparation for the broader task of nation-building.
Reflecting on the historical role of youth in Bangladesh, he noted their significant contributions and sacrifices, from the Language Movement to the War of Liberation and the establishment of democracy. He urged the graduates to continue this legacy by contributing to the country's future development.
Addressing the graduates, the minister acknowledged the beginning of a new chapter in their lives and encouraged them to apply their acquired knowledge and leadership skills for the betterment of the nation. He stressed the need for them to rise to the challenges ahead and work for the country's progress and the welfare of its people.
The event was attended by BYLC officials, trainers, students, and invited guests.
