Moyeen Calls for Expediting Poll Preparation.

Khulna: BNP standing committee member Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan today urged the interim government to expedite preparations for a free, fair, and credible election. ‘We shouldn’t see the failure of the interim government. For this, BNP is giving all kinds of support to it,’ he stated, emphasizing the necessity for the government to take swift action in preparing for a fair election.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Moyeen Khan made these remarks while addressing a meeting organized by the Khulna city unit of BNP at Shaheed Hadis Park, commemorating the Revolution and Solidarity Day. The meeting was also addressed by central information affairs secretary Azizul Bari Helal, student affairs secretary Rokibul Islam, and other central and local leaders. Advocate Shafiqul Alam Mona, the convener of the unit, presided over the event.

Moyeen Khan praised the late President Ziaur Rahman as an honest leader who conducted politics for the greater good of the people. He asserted that the BNP has consistently engage
d in politics to safeguard the country’s democracy and development.

He further alleged that Sheikh Hasina and the ruling Awami League have stifled opposition voices in politics. He claimed that after independence, the Awami League posed a threat to the independence and sovereignty of the country.

The BNP leader stressed the importance of uniting nationalist forces with the spirit of November 7 to ensure democratic progress and protect the country’s independence and sovereignty.
