MoU Signed to Enhance Research and Medical Services Between NIB and BMU

Dhaka: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the National Institute of Biotechnology (NIB) and Bangladesh Medical University (BMU). The MoU signing ceremony took place in the meeting room of the Ministry of Science and Technology.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the MoU was signed by the Director General of NIB, Professor Dr. Sagir Ahmed, and the Vice Chancellor of BMU, Professor Dr. Md. Shahinul Alam. Science and Technology Secretary Md. Anwar Hossain, speaking as the chief guest at the event, stated that the agreement is expected to create opportunities for advanced research and medical services between the two institutions. He further expressed optimism that the quality of healthcare and treatment available to the public would see improvements as a result.



The event was attended by key figures, including the chairmen of the Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission, Bangladesh Atomic Energy Regulatory Authority, and Bangladesh Council of Scientific and Industrial Research. BMU’s Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Md. Abul Kalam Azad (Education), Professor Dr. Md. Mujibur Rahman Howlader (Research and Development), along with additional secretaries and joint secretaries of the ministry, were also present.
