MoU Signed to Enhance Bangladesh-China Media Cooperation

Dhaka: Forum for Energy Reporters Bangladesh (FERB) and Bangladesh-China Apon Media Club today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen bilateral relations along with the expansion of information exchange among media in Bangladesh and China. The signing ceremony took place at the Apon Friendship Exchange Centre in the city, with FERB Chairman Azizur Rahman and Bangladesh-China Apon Media Club General Secretary Olivia Chu representing their respective organizations.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the event was graced by the presence of China Media Group (CMG) Bangla Division Director Yu Guang Yue Anandi, who welcomed the FERB delegation. Anandi emphasized the crucial role that energy resources play in the development of any country, noting that both Bangladeshi and Chinese media have significant roles in this sector. He expressed optimism that through the MoU, FERB and the Bangladesh-China Apon Media Club would contribute to sustainable development and enhanced information exchange between the two countries.



FERB Chairman Azizur Rahman highlighted that the MoU would facilitate the exchange of objective information in the energy sector of Bangladesh and China. He noted that the agreement would create new opportunities to enhance the professional skills and capabilities of Bangladeshi energy journalists.



The event was attended by notable figures such as FERB Executive Director Sirajul Islam Siraj, Vice Chairman Hasan Azad, Directors Faisal Atiq and Sajeeb Ahmed, National Press Club President Hasan Hafiz, Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) General Secretary Mainul Hasan Sohel, and Diplomatic Correspondents Association Bangladesh (DCAB) General Secretary Imrul Kayes. Other distinguished attendees included Bangladesh Photojournalist Association President AKM Mohsin, Bangladesh Cine-Journalist Association (BCJA) President Kamrul Hasan Darpan, Technology Media Guild Bangladesh (TMGB) President Mohammad Kawsar Uddin, Online Editors Alliance President Hasan Sharif, and Bangladesh Sports Press Association (BSPA) General Secretary Sudipto Ahmed Anand.



The Bangladesh-China Apon Media Club, which began its journey in Bangladesh in 2024, aims to bring media professionals from the two friendly nations closer together, fostering a spirit of cooperation and mutual development.
