Munshiganj: A motorcyclist was killed in a road accident in the Bhaberchar area under Gazaria upazila of the district today. The deceased was identified as Farhad Uddin Bhuiyan, 35, son of Kashem Bhuiyan, a resident of Dulalpur village under Brahmanpara upazila in Cumilla district.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the incident occurred on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway around 7 am when a speeding car struck a motorbike from behind. The collision resulted in the immediate death of the motorbike rider, Farhad Uddin, on the spot. Md. Shawkat Hossain, in-charge of Bhaberchar Highway Police Outpost, confirmed the details of the accident.
