Government Plans to Reinstate Primary Level Scholarship: Prof Bidhan Ranjan

Lakshmipur: Primary and Mass Education Adviser Professor Dr Bidhan Ranjan Roy Podder announced that the government is considering reintroducing scholarships at the primary education level. Speaking at a meeting with primary school headmasters at the Hall Room of the DC office, he emphasized the potential reinstatement of this scholarship system.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Adviser highlighted the interim government’s efforts to enhance the quality of education, which has faced challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the introduction of a new curriculum. He urged teachers to treat students with respect and kindness, as this would motivate them to attend school regularly.



The Adviser also stressed the importance of imparting moral education to students, stating that it should be a priority for everyone involved in education. Deputy Commissioner Rajib Kumar Sarker presided over the meeting, which was attended by education officers and primary school headmasters.



Following the meeting, Professor Podder distributed prizes to winners of the Inter-Primary School Debate Competition and handed out books to students at the Lakshmipur Sadar Upazila Hall Room.
