Mymensingh: A motivational workshop focusing on recognition in higher education took place at Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) with the aim of elevating education to international standards by ensuring the quality of higher education. The event was organized by the Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC) with assistance from the university's Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and was held in the Dean's office conference room of the Agriculture faculty.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the workshop was attended by BAU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. AKM Fazlul Haque Bhuiyan as the chief guest, while BAC Member Prof Dr. S M Kabir chaired the session. Over 100 teachers from various departments participated in the event, where IQAC Director Prof Dr. Md Asaduzzaman Sarkar delivered the welcome address.

He emphasized that while no one is perfect, development is essential if there is a will to improve. The Vice-Chancellor reiterated the importance of active participation and sincere efforts in the ongoing accreditation process, assuring the university administration's commitment to providing full cooperation.

Dr. SM Kabir, a BAC member, noted that accreditation serves as a crucial tool for evaluating educational standards, identifying weaknesses, and streamlining development. He stressed the urgency for teachers and administration to participate in this process to align higher educational institutions with international standards. Dr. Kabir praised BAU's efficiency and its status as a leading research-oriented educational institution in Bangladesh, acknowledging its significant contribution to the country's socio-economic development.
