Feni: A mother and her son lost their lives in a tragic road accident at the Gudam Koarter rail crossing near Feni Rail Station. The accident took place tonight when the 'Chattala Express' train collided with a CNG-run auto rickshaw.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the victims were identified as Fatematuzzohora, aged 63, and her son, Hafez Uddin, aged 40. Residents of Pashchim Pathan Nagar in Chhagalnaiya upazila, the two were traveling in the auto rickshaw when the tragic incident occurred. Hafez Uddin was killed instantly due to the impact, while Fatematuzzohora sustained critical injuries.
Fatematuzzohora succumbed to her injuries en route to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, adding to the tragedy of the incident. Feni GRP in-charge Md Iqbal Hossain confirmed the occurrence, marking a sorrowful day for the victims' family and the local community.
