Mother, daughter among three killed in Mymensingh road accidents

Three people were killed and six others injured in separate road accidents in Sadar and Bhaluka upazilas of the district today.

A woman and her two years daughter were killed and her husband was injured as a pickup van hit a standing truck in Shikarikanda area in Sadar upazila this morning, said Kamrul Islam, Officer-in-Charge of Kotwali Model Police Station.

The deceased are pickup van passengers Shefali Begum, 30, wife of Sumon and her daughter Subarna.

Critically injured Sumon was sent to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.

In another accident, a man was killed and five others were injured as a truck hit a CNG-run auto rickshaw in Bagajan area under Bhaluka upazila of the district at about 7 am.

The deceased was CNG passenger Abdur Razzak, 28.

The injured were admitted to a local hospital, police said.
