Dhaka: Mohiuddin Muzahid Mahi from Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) and Mutaher Hussain from Daily Janakantha have been elected as the president and general secretary, respectively, of the Dhaka University Journalists' Association (DUJA) for the upcoming year. The election took place at the DUJA office located in the Teacher-Student Centre of Dhaka University, with the results announced this afternoon by Chief Election Commissioner Riadul Karim. Election Commissioners Saidur Rahman and Mahbub Roni were also in attendance during the announcement. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the newly elected office-bearers include Vice-president Md Moniruzzaman of New Nation, Joint Secretary Mahadi Hasan of Daily Jugantor, Office Secretaries Tausiful Islam of Daily Observer and Jafor Ali of Kalbela, and Treasurer Md Shoaib Ahmed of Protidiner Sangbad. The executive committee members are Manjur Hossain Mahi of Kaler Kantha, Rafiuzzaman Labib of Bhorer Kagoj, and Liton Islam of Alokito Bangladesh.
