Magura: The 48th founding anniversary of the Jatiyatabadi Mohila Dal was celebrated here in the district today. To mark the occasion, the district unit of Mohila Dal hosted a discussion at the Nomani Maidan Auditorium in Magura town.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the event was presided over by Magura Mohila Dal president Urmi Kulsum. Lawmaker Md. Monwar Hossain attended the programme as the chief guest, while reserved-seat lawmaker Newaz Halima Arly and Magura district BNP Convenor and Zilla Parishad Administrator Ali Ahmed were present as special guests.
At the beginning of the discussion, special prayers were offered seeking eternal peace for the departed soul of former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia. Speakers at the discussion urged Mohila Dal leaders and activists to work unitedly to realize people's rights and contribute to the welfare of the country and its citizens.
Prior to the discussion, a colourful rally was organized, starting from Nomani Maidan. The rally paraded through important roads of the town and concluded at the same venue, adding to the celebratory spirit of the day.
