Dhaka: A fire broke out on the roof of a four-storey building in the capital's Mohakhali area on Thursday. The incident occurred at around 11:11 am, originating from abandoned plastic materials kept on the rooftop.
According to United News of Bangladesh, Talha Bin Zashim, station officer of the Fire Service and Civil Defence (media cell), reported that the Fire Service reached the spot at 11:28 am. The fire was successfully brought under control by 11:40 am with the assistance of three units from Tejgaon Fire Station.
Talha mentioned that there is a power substation located on the third floor of the building. However, he assured that there was no risk of the fire spreading to the substation or other areas of the building.
