MoCHTA to honor eminent persons from next year, says Bir Bahadur

RANGAMATI- State Minister for Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs (MoCHTA) Bir Bahadur Ushwe Sing has said his ministry will start giving reception to eminent cultural and sports personalities of the districts from the next year.

The state minister made this announcement while addressing as chief guest a function arranged for honoring 10 eminent persons for their outstanding contribution to society, literature and culture at Shilpakala Academy auditorium here on Thursday.

"If we fail to recognize the genius no sportsman and cultural personality would emerge in the coming days," said the state minister at the function organized by Rangamati District Shilpakala Academy.

Feroza Begum Chinu MP spoke as the special guest with Rangamati District Council Chairman Brish Ketu Chakma in the chair.

The state minister gifted Taka 25,000 in cash to each of the eminent persons, who were accorded the honor.
