Netrakona: A mobile court here today fined four people and an establishment a total of Tk 52,400 for producing food in unhygienic conditions and violating the road transport act. The mobile court conducted the drive this afternoon at Al-Noor Bakery factory on Kendua Road in Netrakona Sadar Upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Al-Noor Bakery was fined Tk 50,000 for producing food items in filthy and unsanitary conditions and failing to provide promised services, in violation of consumer rights. Meanwhile, four drivers were fined a total of Tk 2,400 in four separate cases for violating the Road Transport Act, 2018. Executive Magistrate Md. Sahabuddin conducted the mobile court on behalf of the district administration.
He stated that such drives would continue to protect consumer rights and maintain discipline on the roads, underscoring the ongoing efforts of the district administration to ensure public safety and uphold legal standards.
