Dhaka: LGRD Minister and BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Monday expressed deep shock and sorrow over the death of Kofil Uddin, Vice-President of Dhaka district BNP. In a condolence message, Fakhrul highlighted Kofil Uddin's commitment to the ideals and philosophy of the late President Ziaur Rahman and Bangladeshi nationalism.
According to United News of Bangladesh, Fakhrul praised Kofil Uddin's significant contributions to strengthening and invigorating the Dhaka district BNP. Kofil Uddin was known for his active participation in various democratic movements under the leadership of former prime minister Khaleda Zia. He was recognized for his dedication to political activities and his role in the party.
The BNP Secretary General expressed his condolences by praying for the eternal peace of Kofil Uddin's soul and conveyed his sympathy to the bereaved family members. Kofil Uddin, who was also the owner of Hanif Paribahan and served as the Savar Upazila Parishad Chairman, passed away on Sunday.
