Dhaka: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir was hospitalised in the city's United Hospital on Sunday after experiencing a decline in his health.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the BNP secretary general had been feeling unwell for the past two days. His condition deteriorated following a visit to the Suhrawardy Udyan book fair last week, as reported by BNP media wing official Shairul Kabir Sayrul. Sayrul informed reporters that Fakhrul's health had worsened prompting his hospitalisation.
In an update this morning, Sayrul confirmed that Fakhrul is now feeling much better and his condition is stable. Despite this improvement, doctors and Fakhrul's family have requested the public to avoid unnecessary gatherings at the hospital to ensure a peaceful recovery environment.
The party members have been urged to keep Fakhrul in their prayers for a swift recovery, reflecting the concern and support from his colleagues and followers.
