Dhaka: The Ministry of Education has requested comprehensive details from the Non-Government Teachers Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) about 41,627 teachers slated for appointment in 2025 at various private educational institutions across Bangladesh.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, an urgent directive, signed by Deputy Secretary Hoore Jannat of the Ministry, has been issued requiring that this information be submitted to the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education urgently, within the next seven working days. These teachers were recommended for appointment through the sixth recruitment circular under Monthly Pay Order (MPO)-listed institutions.
The initiative aims to verify how many of the recommended teachers have commenced their roles and identify those who have faced obstacles post-appointment. Additionally, the Ministry seeks to understand if there are any administrative issues preventing teachers from joining and to ascertain how many have yet to be enrolled in the MPO program.
Ministry sources indicate that the information gathering process began following an internal meeting chaired by the Secretary of the Secondary and Higher Education Division on January 7. Institutions have been instructed to submit detailed reports using a specific form, which includes the teacher’s name, registration number, appointed institution, joining date, reasons for non-enrollment in the MPO, and any relevant comments.
