Dhaka: Education and Primary and Mass Education Minister Dr. ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon has called upon the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) officials to expedite the resolution of teachers’ administrative challenges. Emphasizing efficiency, Milon stated that teachers should not endure prolonged periods of navigating between offices.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the minister delivered these remarks while serving as the chief guest at a meeting held at the DSHE auditorium. During this session, he underscored the importance of addressing matters related to teachers’ salaries, allowances, pensions, and other benefits within a set timeframe. He accentuated the necessity for automation to streamline service delivery.

Milon also advocated for the introduction of AI-based software to manage transfers, aiming to end lobbying practices and enhance transparency. He mentioned plans for a digital system to guide service seekers to the appropriate departments based on their needs.

On the subject of administrative dynamics, Milon urged officials to foster an effective working environment through coordination, open communication, and collaboration. He highlighted the need to minimize bureaucratic barriers to improve service quality in education.

He also encouraged officials to voice their opinions logically and without fear. Responding to DSHE officials’ concerns about online system limitations, the minister instructed swift rectification to enhance administrative efficiency.

The meeting was attended by DSHE Director General (additional-charge) Professor B M Abdul Hannan and other senior ministry and directorate officials.
