Milestone School Teacher Killed in Banasree Road Crash

Dhaka: A schoolteacher lost her life after a bus collided with a motorcycle she was riding as a pillion passenger in the Banasree area of the capital on Wednesday night.

According to United News of Bangladesh, the victim, Tasfiya Ahmed Tisha, aged 31, was a teacher at Milestone School. She was the daughter of Md Shafiuddin Ahmed and resided in Meradia Noyapara, Khilgaon. The tragic accident occurred when Tisha was traveling on a Pathao motorcycle, and a bus from Ramjan Paribahan, coming from the opposite direction, struck the motorcycle near Farazy Hospital Ltd at around 9:30 pm, as reported by her family.

Bystanders and police immediately assisted in transporting Tisha to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), where medical personnel declared her dead. Tisha's brother, Enam Ahmed, mentioned that the family rushed to the hospital upon receiving news of the incident and learned that the police had apprehended the bus driver and confiscated the vehicle.

Inspector Habibur Rahman, in charge of the DMCH police camp, stated that Tisha's body has been placed in the hospital morgue for an autopsy.
