Dhaka: A mild heat wave is currently impacting several districts across Bangladesh, including Rajshahi, Pabna, Sirajganj, Naogaon, Dinajpur, Nilphamari, Moulvibazar, Rangamati, Jashore, and Chuadanga. The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has indicated that this heat wave may persist for some time.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a recent release from the BMD mentioned that the day temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged, while night temperatures may witness a slight increase across the country. The weather is likely to stay dry, accompanied by a temporarily partly cloudy sky, as predicted by the meteorological office.

The BMD also highlighted that a trough of low pressure is present over West Bengal and its surrounding areas, while a seasonal low lies over the South Bay. On Wednesday, the maximum temperature of 38.0 degrees Celsius was recorded at Rajshahi, whereas the minimum temperature today was 17.2 degrees Celsius at Tentulia upazila in Panchagarh district.

The sun is scheduled to set at 06:16 pm today and will rise again at 05:48 am tomorrow in the capital city.
