Dhaka: Bangladesh Meteorological Department today forecast rain or thundershowers accompanied by lightning and temporary gusty wind across the country for the next 24 hours starting at 9 am. “Light to moderate rain or thundershowers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind are likely to occur at most places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions and at many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions,” said a Met office bulletin issued this morning.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, moderately heavy to heavy rainfall may occur at places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions. Day temperatures may fall slightly over the southern part of the country and remain nearly unchanged elsewhere. Meanwhile, night temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged as well.
The highest temperature was recorded on Saturday at 35 degrees Celsius in Dimla under Rangpur Division, while today’s minimum temperature was 23.6 degrees Celsius in Bandarban. Residents in the capital can expect the sun to set at 6:50 pm today and rise at 5:15 am tomorrow.
