Massive People Join Mass Prayers Seeking Recovery of Khaleda Zia in Bogura

Bogura: A large number of BNP leaders and activists joined a mass prayer seeking recovery of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia at Altafunnesa playground in the district town today. Presidents and general secretaries of 24 units of Bogura district BNP, along with leaders and activists of the party's affiliated and associate bodies, participated in the prayer event.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, prior to the Asr prayers, District BNP President and former municipality mayor Rezaul Karim Badsha addressed the gathering. He stated that Begum Khaleda Zia fought against what he termed the 'fascist Sheikh Hasina.' He alleged that Khaleda Zia was imprisoned on false charges, leading to her serious illness, and held Sheikh Hasina responsible for her condition.

Rezaul Karim Badsha further noted that people across Bangladesh held prayers at madrasas, mosques, other places of worship, and orphanages for Khaleda Zia's recovery. The prayers were conducted by Mufti Mawlana Ataullah Nizami.

The event was attended by notable figures including BNP Chairperson's Advisor and Senior Vice-President of the Central Committee of Krishak Dal and former MP Helaluzzaman Talukder Lalu, BNP Executive Committee members VP Saiful Islam, Ali Azgar Talukder Hena, Zainal Abedin Chan, Kazi Rafiqul Islam, Mahbubur Rahman Harej, Acting General Secretary of District BNP and former MP Mosharraf Hossain, and District BNP Vice-Presidents M.R. Islam Swadhin, Advocate Hamidul Haque Chowdhury Hiru, and Maftun Ahmed Khan Rubel.
