Rajshahi: The District Administration has issued a directive that all shopping malls, markets, and shops in Rajshahi must close by 7 pm. This instruction was announced in a public notice signed by Rajshahi Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Kazi Shahidul Islam today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the notice aligns with decisions taken during a meeting on April 4 between the Prime Minister and representatives of business organizations nationwide, as well as directives from the Cabinet Division. It mandates that all shopping malls, markets, and shops in Rajshahi district, including the metropolitan area, close by 7 pm.
The directive also specifies that billboard lights must be switched off by the same time. Any ongoing or scheduled fairs, trade fairs, and cultural events across the district must conclude within the specified timeframe.
Legal actions will be enforced against any individual or business establishment found violating this order, ensuring compliance across the district.
