Dhaka: The maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Mongla, and Payra have been directed to maintain local cautionary signal No. 3 due to a low-pressure area moving northwestwards over the Northwest Bay and adjacent coastal regions.

According to United News of Bangladesh, this low-pressure area is currently positioned over Gangetic West Bengal and nearby areas of North Odisha and the Northwest Bay, as reported by a special bulletin from the Met office. This condition is likely to bring squally weather that may impact the maritime ports, the North Bay, and the adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh.

Fishing boats and trawlers in the North Bay have been advised to stay close to the coast and exercise caution until further notice to ensure safety amid the current weather conditions.
