Man’s Body Recovered from Pond in Jhenaidah

Jhenaidah: Police recovered the body of a man from a pond in Kotchandpur upazila of Jhenaidah on Thursday, four days after he went missing while fishing. The deceased was identified as Mofizul Islam, 35, son of Moslem Uddin of Harindia village in the upazila.

According to United News of Bangladesh, locals reported that Mofizul went missing on Monday after he went fishing in a pond near his house. His family members conducted a search throughout the day but were unsuccessful in locating him.

Four days later, local residents noticed his body floating in the pond and informed the police. Upon receiving the information, a team from Kotchandpur police arrived at the scene and recovered the body.

Officer-in-Charge of Kotchandpur Police Station Azad Rahman stated that the body is being sent to the district hospital morgue for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
