Savar: A man was allegedly stabbed to death by miscreants at Kotbari Mohalla of Savar municipality early this morning. The deceased was identified as Durjoy Sheikh, 48, son of late Nazimuddin of Goalpara village under Haluaghat upazila in Mymensingh district.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, police recovered the body this morning and sent it to the hospital morgue. Durjoy Sheikh had been residing with his family in the Kotbari area of Savar municipality. His wife reported that he went out of the house around 1 am and did not return.
Savar Model Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Quader Sheikh stated that the body of the deceased was recovered and sent to the Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital morgue. Police are actively working to arrest those involved in the incident and are investigating the cause of the murder.
