Man Shot by Miscreants in Khulna Dies After Attack

Khulna: A 35-year-old man, who was both shot and hacked by unidentified individuals in Khulna city on Sunday night, succumbed to his injuries early Monday. The victim, identified as Md Aziz, was the son of Khalilur Rahman and resided on Bagmara Main Road.



According to United News of Bangladesh, witnesses reported that three assailants wearing helmets arrived at the scene, attacked Aziz, and then fled, leaving him severely injured. Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) Deputy Commissioner of Police (South), Tajul Islam, stated that police responded promptly after receiving the information. Aziz suffered gunshot wounds and multiple hacking injuries on different parts of his body.



Aziz died around 2 am while being transferred to Dhaka for advanced medical treatment. Tajul Islam mentioned that Aziz was involved in a group rivalry and had been previously shot in another incident. Police recovered two bullet shells from the scene. Aziz was also wanted in connection with three cases.



Authorities are currently working to identify and apprehend those responsible for the attack.
