Jhenaidah: A man was killed as a bus hit his bicycle on the Kaliganj-Kotchandpur road in Taleshwar Bazar area under Kaliganj upazila of the district this morning. The deceased was Khokon Tarafdar, 55, son of late Bahar Ali Tarafdar, a resident of Shahapur Ghighati village of the upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the accident occurred around 9 am when a bus collided with the bicycle from the opposite direction, leaving its rider Khokon Tarafdar dead on the spot. Officer-in-Charge of Kaliganj Police Station Shahidul Islam Howlader confirmed the incident.
Police recovered the body and handed it over to his family.
