Chattogram: A 55-year-old man was killed in a road accident in front of Govt. Adarsha High School in Anwara upazila here in the district this morning. Police identified the deceased as Abu Taleb, a resident of Kesura area under Chandanaish upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a Chattogram city-bound speeding truck rammed into a CNG-run auto-rickshaw at around 6:00 am, causing serious injuries to two passengers of the three-wheeler, including Abu Taleb. The victims were rushed to Chattogram Medical College Hospital, where Abu Taleb succumbed to his injuries.
Anwara Police Station officer-in-charge Md. Monir Hossain stated that police have seized the truck involved in the accident and that legal action is currently underway.
