Gazipur: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) today arrested a man and seized firearms from him during an operation in the Sadar Police Station area of the district, a RAB press release said. Acting on a tip-off, RAB-1 conducted an operation in the Hotel Niribili area near Rajendrapur Intersection and arrested Abdul Wadud (50).
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during the operation, a single-barrel gun was recovered from his possession. The arrestee and the seized firearms were handed over to the local police station, the release added.
