Bauphal: A man died after falling from a palm tree in Bauphal upazila of the district this morning. The deceased was identified as Md. Sohan, 38, son of Anwar Hossain, a resident of Shanto Gram, Ward No. 3 of Bauphal municipality.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Sohan fell from the tree while collecting palm fruit near Ashraf Maulana Madrasa in the municipality around 11:30 am. He was rescued and taken to the Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty doctor declared him dead, said Dr. Nurjahan, Medical Officer of Bauphal Upazila Health Complex.
Officer-in-Charge of Bauphal Police Station Mohammad Aktaruzzaman Sarkar confirmed the incident.
