Munshiganj: Detective Branch of Police (DB) arrested a man with 83 pieces of Yaba tablets last night in Munshiganj district. The arrested individual has been identified as Md. Arif Sheikh, 37, son of Abdur Rahim Sheikh of Goalghurni village in the Sadar Upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Officer-in-charge of Munshiganj Sadar thana, M Saiful Alam, stated that the arrest followed a tip-off. A team of law enforcement agencies conducted a drive in the Goalghurni area of the Sadar Upazila. During the operation, the alleged drug-peddler was apprehended.
A case has been filed against Md. Arif Sheikh in connection with the possession of the Yaba tablets, according to the officer-in-charge.
