Chattogram: A new panel called “Sarbojonin Shikkharti Sangsad” has been formed for the Chattogram University Central Student Parliament (CUCSU) elections. The panel comprises members from Bangladesh Chhatra Odhikar Parishad and Islami Chhatra Majlis.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the announcement was made by Tamjid Uddin, the convener of Chhatra Odhikar Parishad, on the university campus this afternoon. Tamjid Uddin, who is a postgraduate student in the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department, will be vying for the Vice President (VP) position in the upcoming CUCSU polls. Meanwhile, Shakib Mahmud Rumi, president of Islami Chhatra Majlis and a fourth-year student from the Arabic Department, is set to contest for the General Secretary (GS) role.
Md. Roman Rahman, a member secretary of Chhatra Odhikar Parishad and a student in the Bangladesh Studies Department, will be running for the Assistant General Secretary (AGS) post. The panel also includes other key members such as Sports and Athletics Secretary Md. Sabuj, Assistant Sports and Athletics Secretary Md. Jahangir Alam, and Literature, Culture, and Publications Secretary Dewan Abdur, among others.
Other notable positions in the panel include Student Welfare Secretary Sanjida Akhter, Science and Technology Secretary Mazharul Islam, and Research and Innovation Secretary Touhidul Islam (Suhan). The panel also includes executive members like Md. Mujahidullah (Mujahid), Kazi Belal Hossain, Abid Hasan, and Salman Muhammad Sajib.
