Lalmonirhat: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a man and seized 199 bottles of phensedyl-like drug CHOCO+ from Uttar Batrishajari village under Kaliganj Police Station of Lalmonirhat district on Friday evening. The arrested individual is identified as Md Shariful Alam, 40, son of the late Md Alauddin of Uttar Batrishajari village.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, acting on a tip-off, an operational team of RAB-13 Sadar Company conducted a raid in the village. During the operation, the team arrested Shariful Alam and confiscated the large quantity of contraband drug CHOCO+ from his residence at 5.30 pm, as stated in a press release issued today.
During the initial interrogation, the detainee confessed to skillfully dealing in the Phensedyl-like drug CHOCO+ for an extended period. Following the arrest, a case has been filed in this connection. The elite force subsequently handed over the arrested person and the seized drugs to Kaliganj Police Station in Lalmonirhat for further legal proceedings.
