Jashore: A man allegedly committed suicide after killing his two minor sons following a family dispute in Sharsha upazila of Jashore on Tuesday afternoon. The deceased were identified as Kamal Hossain, 45, a van puller, and his sons Md Sabir Hossain, 5, and Md Jabir Hossain, 3. The incident occurred around 4:00 pm in the Chotkapota Dakkhinpara area of the upazila.
According to United News of Bangladesh, police and locals reported that Kamal allegedly killed his two children amid a family dispute and later died by suicide after consuming a poisonous substance. On information, police recovered the bodies and sent them to Jashore General Hospital for autopsy.
Police revealed that Kamal’s wife, Rabia Begum, had left for her father’s home in Narail about a week ago following a family dispute, and the conflict reportedly continued since then. Officer-in-Charge of Sharsha Police Station, Shaminul Haque, stated that the actual cause of the deaths could be determined after the autopsy reports and the investigation are complete.
