Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has
congratulated Sheikh Hasina on her re-election as Prime Minister of
Bangladesh.
In a greeting message sent to Sheikh Hasina, he wrote, “On behalf of the
Government and the people of Malaysia, I extend my heartiest congratulations
to you on being sworn in for a fourth term as the Prime Minister of the
People’s Republic of Bangladesh.”
“In your tenure as Prime Minister, you have remarkably steered your country
through more than a decade of robust economic growth, ensuring that
Bangladesh emerged as one of the success stories of Asia,” he said, adding,
“I am confident that you will lead Bangladesh towards even greater
achievements of Smart Bangladesh 2041.”
Anwar Ibrahim mentioned that Malaysia values the warm and cordial relations
with Bangladesh.
He said, “The close ties between our two countries, bound by our
commonalities and shared values, have greatly benefitted our people.”
He ended, “I look forward to working closely with you to further strength

this close cooperation,” adding “Please accept, Excellency, the assurances of
my highest consideration.”
