Ankara: Information and Broadcasting Adviser Md Mahfuj Alam has paid a courtesy call on Turkish Minister for Women and Family Planning Mahinur Ozdemir Goktas in Trkiye. The meeting took place today during the “Antalya Diplomacy Forum, 2025,” as stated in an official release.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the central topic of their discussions was the development of the socio-economic conditions of women in both Trkiye and Bangladesh. Adviser Mahfuj Alam emphasized the Bangladeshi government’s commitment to overcoming barriers to women’s empowerment. He highlighted the government’s initiatives, which include providing training and loans to facilitate women’s employment.
Mahfuj Alam also reiterated the government’s firm stance against violence towards women. In response, Minister Mahinur Ozdemir Goktas assured that the Turkish government would support the socio-economic progress of women in Bangladesh. She expressed her optimism about the future success of Bangladeshi women in their professional endeavors.
