Lahore:Dilshan Madushanka's exceptional performance with the ball led to Pakistan being bowled out for just 110 runs, significantly boosting Sri Lanka's prospects of qualifying for the tri-series final.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Madushanka achieved a career-best five-wicket haul with figures of 5-34. His efforts were complemented by Sahan Arachchige, who took 2-24, as Sri Lanka dismissed Pakistan in just 25.3 overs at the Gaddafi Stadium after winning the toss.

Pakistan struggled throughout the innings, with Babar Azam scoring 29 and Hasan Nawaz contributing 17 as the team's top scorers. The batting lineup failed to build momentum after a successful chase against England just days earlier.

Madushanka initiated Pakistan's collapse by dismissing opener Fakhar Zaman for five. Despite a brief partnership between Azam and Saad Baig, Madushanka and Arachchige continued to take wickets at regular intervals, including crucial dismissals of Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf.

This performance marked an improvement over Madushanka's previous best figures of 5-80 against India during the 2023 World Cup in Mumbai.
