Rangpur:Instruction for the first-semester coursework classes for M.Phil and Ph.D researchers at the Institute of Research Excellence of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR), has commenced.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, researchers re-enrolled for the 2025-2026 academic year, along with those admitted as regular full-time researchers, attended these mandatory coursework classes held at the Gallery Room of the Department of Marketing.
Professor Dr. Md Shahzaman from the Department of Statistics led the morning class for the scheduled first-semester course, "Statistics in Research." In the afternoon, Professor Dr. Md Matiur Rahman from the Department of Management Studies conducted the class for "Research Methodology."
BRUR Vice-chancellor Professor Dr. Md Shawkat Ali expressed his delight at the start of these coursework classes, noting it as a significant addition to the university's higher education offerings. He shared his optimism that the researchers would complete their research activities under their supervisors after finishing the necessary coursework.
The Vice-chancellor emphasized the potential impact of their research findings on the socio-economic development of the region and the country. He also called for the cooperation of all stakeholders to ensure the Institute of Research Excellence remains active and effective.
