Looted Firearm and Ammunition Found in Rajshahi

Rajshahi: One looted firearm and 12 rounds of bullets were recovered in an abandoned condition from a kashbon at the Bashari area under Kasiadanga Police Station in the city last night. On a tip-off, a team of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) conducted a raid in the area and recovered a foreign pistol, a magazine, and 12 rounds of shotgun bullets from the area adjacent to the River Padma around 2 am.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, RAB sources revealed that the miscreants looted 164 firearms from different police stations, outposts, and boxes of RMP during the anti-discrimination student movement in the city. So far, 147 of those firearms have been recovered.

Police, RAB, and joint forces will continue their efforts to recover the remaining firearms and ammunition.
