Light to Moderate Rain Forecast Across Bangladesh

Dhaka: The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) forecast light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind across various places in the country over the next 24 hours, beginning at 9:00 am today. “Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, and Barishal divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over the country,” said a BMD bulletin this morning.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, day and night temperatures may rise slightly over the country during this period, as predicted by the meteorological office. Moreover, the monsoon is noted to be fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate over the North Bay. Additionally, a low pressure area is likely to form over the northwest Bay and adjoining area within the next 24 hours.



On Sunday, Srimangal recorded the highest temperature at 33.5 degrees Celsius, while Rangamati experienced the lowest at 24 degrees Celsius. In Dhaka, the sun will set at 6:24 pm today and will rise again at 5:38 am tomorrow.
