Dhaka: The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast light to moderate rain or thunder showers, accompanied by temporary gusty winds, across various regions of the country over the next 24 hours, starting from 9:00 am today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the BMD bulletin issued this morning highlights that the weather conditions are expected to affect many places in the divisions of Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram, Barishal, and Sylhet. Additionally, the Rajshahi, Dhaka, and Khulna divisions may also experience similar weather patterns.
The bulletin further warns of moderately heavy to heavy rainfall in some areas within the Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions. Despite these weather conditions, both day and night temperatures across the country are expected to remain nearly unchanged, as predicted by the met office.
The BMD also noted that the monsoon is currently fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate over the North Bay. On Friday, Khulna recorded the highest temperature at 35.5 degrees Celsius, while the lowest temperature of 24.1 degrees Celsius was noted in Tetulia. In Dhaka, the sun is expected to set at 6:05 pm today and rise at 5:45 am tomorrow.
