Dhaka: Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board chairman Prof Mia Mohammad Nurul Haque today claimed that the previous fascist regime had made all arrangements to destroy the madrasah education system. "Due to irregularities and mismanagement, the quality of the madrasah education system dropped significantly. Even in the Aqaid (Belief) book, there are some contents which may cause disbelief and are contradictory to the principles of Islamic thought," the chairman said.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Prof Mia Mohammad addressed a discussion as the chief guest at Tumchar Islamia Kamil Madrasah this morning. He expressed concerns over the intentions behind the infrastructure built during the fascist regime, suggesting that the intentions were not in the best interest of madrasah education.
The discussion was presided over by the principal of Tumchar Islamia Kamil Madrasah, Mawlana Idris. Notable attendees included special guests Saikhul Hadith Mawlana Harun Al Madani, senior vice president of Tanjimul Ummah Foundation Dr Abdullah Al Mamun, Bangladesh Private Madrasah Association president Mawlana Jashim Uddin, and Feni Falahia Kamil Madrasah principal Mufti Faruk Ahmed.
