Light to Moderate Rain and Thunder Showers Expected Across Bangladesh

Dhaka: The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecasted that light to moderate rain or thunder showers, accompanied by temporary gusty winds, are likely to occur across various regions in the country over the coming 24 hours, starting from 9:00 am today.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the BMD bulletin issued this morning specifies that these weather conditions are expected to impact most areas within the Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions. There is also a likelihood of heavy to very heavy rainfall in certain areas of the Rajshahi, Rangpur, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions.

The meteorological office has predicted a potential drop in both day and night temperatures by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius across the country. On Saturday, the highest temperature recorded was 35.5 degrees Celsius in Ishurdi, located in the Rajshahi division, while the lowest temperature noted today was 24.2 degrees Celsius in Sylhet, within the Sylhet division.

In the capital city of Dhaka, residents can expect the sun to set at 6:04 pm today, with sunrise scheduled for 5:45 am tomorrow.
