Dhaka: Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today forecasted that light rain or drizzle may occur over the country in the next 24 hours commencing from 9 am. Moderate to thick fog is anticipated at many places across the nation from midnight to morning, with some areas potentially experiencing fog until noon. This foggy weather could lead to temporary disruptions in air navigation, inland river transport, and road communication, as noted in a Met office bulletin released this morning.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged both during the night and day throughout the country. However, the prevailing foggy conditions might intensify cold sensations among the population. On Monday, the highest temperature recorded was 26.4 degrees Celsius in Bandarban, while the lowest temperature today stands at 11 degrees Celsius in Nikli, located in the Kishoreganj district.

The daily cycle of sun and moon will see the sun setting at 5.22 pm today and rising at 6.41 am tomorrow in Dhaka, offering a brief respite from the cold and fog for the residents.
