Dhaka: A launch trader was shot by unidentified assailants in the capital's South Badda area on Thursday night. Ujjal Bhuiyan, 47, son of Abdul Sattar, is a resident of the Darogabari Mor area of South Badda.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the victim's brother, Juboraj, reported that Ujjal returned home around 11:00 pm, holding the right side of his chest and bleeding from a gunshot wound. He told his family that he was shot in the Darogabari Mor area but could not identify the shooter or the motive behind the attack.
Ujjal was later taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), where he was admitted. Habibur Rahman, in-charge of the DMCH police camp, confirmed that Ujjal was brought to the hospital's emergency department from Badda with a gunshot injury and was subsequently admitted. The Badda Police Station has been informed of the incident.
