Dhaka: Land Ministry Senior Secretary ASM Saleh Ahmed today emphasized the importance of transparency, accountability, and a people-friendly environment in providing land-related services. "Ensuring people's satisfaction by rendering corruption-free and hassle-free services are the responsibility of all under the Land Ministry," he stated during a workshop on 'Concept of good governance, morality and relations with values and education' at the ministry's conference room at Bangladesh Secretariat.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the secretary highlighted the ministry's strong stance against corruption by introducing an online land management system and digital services aimed at providing hassle-free services to the public. He underscored that morality and good governance are interdependent and crucial for the nation's welfare, emphasizing the need for an ethical foundation to establish good governance, which in turn ensures transparency, justice, and accountability in society.
Saleh Ahmed urged all employees to uphold morality and good governance in delivering land services while fostering unity and teamwork. He encouraged workshop participants to enhance their efficiency, adopt a people-friendly mentality, and develop knowledge, skills, and positive attitudes.
He expressed hope that the workshop would empower participants by building their skills, confidence, decision-making abilities, and capacity to handle pressure both mentally and socially. The workshop included officers from all wings of the ministry, with the senior secretary serving as the main discussant.
