Munshiganj: Defending champions Bashundhara Kings lost valuable points in their title race as they were again forced to play a goalless draw by Brothers Union Club in the Bashundhara Group Bangladesh Premier League football held at Birshreshtha Shaheed Matiur Rahman Stadium today. Both teams had several scoring opportunities during the match but failed to capitalize due to a lack of proper finishing.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, with the outcome of the day, Bashundhara Kings remain in third position in the league table with 25 points from 14 matches. Meanwhile, the all-orange Gopibagh brigade, Brothers Union Club, moved up to sixth position, accumulating 19 points from the same number of outings. In their previous encounter in the first leg, the two teams played to a 1-1 draw at Bashundhara Kings arena in the capital.
