Dateline: Rajshahi: Notorious terrorist Bappy Chowdhury, also known as killer Rony, has been apprehended in Dhaka for his involvement in attacking and shooting students during an anti-discrimination movement in Rajshahi city.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested Rony in the Bashundhara residential area following a tip-off. The arrest occurred last night, and RAB officials confirmed the operation today. Rony faces accusations related to an incident on August 5 in the Alupatty area of Rajshahi, where he allegedly attacked and shot students. The attack resulted in the deaths of two students, with several others sustaining injuries.
Rony, who resides in the Bheripara area of Rajshahi, holds the position of president of Ward No-4 Juba League. RAB sources revealed that Rony was tracked and captured using information and communication technologies, highlighting the effectiveness of modern investigative techniques in apprehending suspects.
