Dhaka: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) today arrested an accused in the sensational Sagar murder case of Old Dhaka from the city's Mohammadpur area. The arrested individual has been identified as Md. Akram alias Killer Akram, aged 45, who was involved in a gunfight between the drug dealers Chua Selim Group and Bhuiyan Sohel Group of Geneva Camp.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, RAB reported that they apprehended Killer Akram from the Mohammadpur Geneva Camp area of Dhaka. This arrest is part of an ongoing effort to address criminal activities associated with Geneva Camp.
The law enforcement agencies had previously detained Mohammadpur Geneva Camp's top criminals, Chua Selim and Bhuiyan Sohel. The arrest of Killer Akram is viewed as a significant step in the crackdown on criminal elements within the camp.
